The days pass by in a blur. Nothing much happens. Nothing much changes. My life passes by like an everyday occurence. Home, work, metro, home. Food, eat to survive, nothing much, nothing less. Sleep, brush bathe, get dressed, sit at my workstation, go out at times to report, make pages, get yelled at by the designer, am told by the editor not to get stuck in a rut. And yet that is what is happening with me these days. I don't really want to write about Hockey India or shooting or the National Rifle Association of India (NRAI). I know those are important things as well. But what I don't understand is how those working in sports can attend one press briefing of hockey/ shooting/ chess/ squash and spout things like they are experts, like they have been following the sport for ten or more years. Their half-baked knowledge is gleaned from Wikipedia, that much-maligned universal encyclopedia that is supposed to get much of its "facts" incorrect.
