Goodbye! :(

He retired. Finally. The hero, the man, the Wall. I am not a fan of Indian cricket, especially the team that I think comprises spoilt brats, attention seekers, wannabes and one-time wonders. But Rahul Dravid, he was the one who kept me glued to Test cricket whenever he took to the field. Dependable, mild-mannered, quiet, unassuming but passionate, exceptionally talented, immense will power and concentration, almost a perfectionist – one could rely on him to get the job done. I don’t remember statistics and particular innings to validate his performances, like maybe an innings in Adelaide or one at Eden Gardens. But then Dravid is someone who doesn’t need validation. He was the perfect man, a guy thousands of girls thought of as their dream man. You knew you could depend on him, you knew someone like him would be by your side when you needed them. Sniff. I’m really close to tears. I will actually miss him. Take a bow, Jammy! 
