Wispiness and marshmallows.

There are days when everything is not really right, but still, everything somehow seems right. A day when you feel mushy and loved and affectionate, wanting to hug any and every stranger on the street. (Well, okay,  not "every" stranger, that would be mighty foolish on my part, considering I stay in a city such as Delhi. But you get the drift). So, today seems to be one of those days. Maybe it's because production week, that long, tiring, grinding, mechanical process of putting the magazine to bed, has finally, FINALLY, come to an end. Which means there is a bit of a rest period before the entire process of looking for stories, reporting and travelling starts again (not to mention the inevitable production week as well). So, yes, there is not much to do at work for now. So here I am, sifting through my favourite videos on YouTube, and for some weird reason, I want to listen to ONLY the romantic numbers. And those considered to be slightly "corny" by people with a self-approved sense of "good music". I accept my tastes, I am unabashedly in love with the cheesy, forever-in-love, fairy-tale-romance of Westlife. And Boyzone. And Gareth Gates. And Ronan Keating. It is just one of those days when I am in the mood for some popcorn-candy-marshmallow romance, when lyrics of "happily ever after" bring in my head images of a knight in shining armour galloping over the hills and sweeping me up in his arms and planting a long, passionate smooch on my lips (yes, I am supremely corny that way!). I heard "Say It Isn't So" and "Unchained Melody" and "Fix You" and "Scientist" and "Your Body Is A Wonderland" and disappeared into my own little world, my own zone where my head is filled with white, wispy clouds and images of my ideal man, caring and loving (with clean feet, of course). So now I will go back to my little zone and daydream.

Song of the Day: Say It Isn't So (Gareth Gates).
