Count Your Blessings...
Whenever life lets you down and you feel lonely, just think of all the good times you have had in the past. Count your blessings.....They could include a brother's birthday bash; your school farewell party; an investiture ceremony, where you stood, proudly smiling, eyes shining; a match won by the team you were supporting; a pleasant boat-ride on a serene lake; savouring a bar of dark chocolate, licking the melted portions off the wrapper; admiring a work of art; talking to a loved one; fondling your pet dog; gazing at the beautiful goldfishes swimming lazily in the aquarium; watching the sun set behind the majestic hills; admiring the gauzy wings of a dragonfly; looking up to find the velvet sky dotted with innumerable twinkling diamonds; cheering lustily at a rock concert or a dance show; watching in deep silence the tiny black ants, making their way through the lush grass; experiencing solitary moments of pure bliss; hearing a bird chirp in the morning; giving yourself a rejuvenating massage or a pedicure; getting lost in the magical world of Disneyland; singing in the shower; donating old books to the needy; wandering aimlessly through fields of golden-eared wheat; driving swiftly past forests of pine and birch; marvelling at the solitary moon playing peek-a-boo through the storm clouds; taking delight in an infant's careless smile; listening to your heartbeat; watching Jim Carrey make a fool of himself in Liar Liar; seeing a dandelion whisk gently away in the wind; indulging in pleasant conversation with an elderly person at the old-age home; watching a baby stumble and walk on tottering steps for the first time; seeing a flower unfold its petals at the crack of dawn; taking happiness in the silver drops of dew glistening everywhere on a particularly cold morning; or just marvelling at the immense cosmos that we are a part of, and the enormity of the loving world that is our home.
